My Mama's Day

To this very day, this is how it is between my parents and I. I could be out somewhere and called home, dad answers it, I'll ask for my mom. Everything in the house or out of the house that I need, I'll ask my mom. When I am travelling somewhere, first call I make to, would be to my mom.

To most of us, my mom is my best friend. We talk about a lot of things. 

My mom is one super amazing lady. Now you know where I got my amazingness from. hahahahhaha.

If I were to list down her amazingness, the list would wrap up the entire world. 

Yes Mama, you are that amazing.

While the whole world celebrate Mothers' Day today, my dad taught us that everyday should be a special day for everyone. Regardless if you are a mom, a dad, a sister or a friend. Make everyday worth that while. Make it count. Happiness should be celebrated on a daily basis, not on specially commercialised day dictated by someone else for whatever reason. Prayers for our loved ones or anyone that crosses our heart should be done daily, not on a particular day of the year. 

As always, the trip to the flower shop is a must.

While flowers are normally more expensive on V-Day, there was apparently quite a bargain today.

A bunch of roses basically cost $10.

And since my brother and sister-in-law were coming over, I got a bunch for my sil too.

The flower shop was mostly filled with these two main colours; red and white.

Tough choice, and since I love my country, what did I choose?

Despite the fact that we do not celebrate Mothers' Day, I could not find a good enough reason to get my mom something from the bottom of my heart. No amount of money in the world nor the things I do could ever make up for that very night that my mom gave me to me.

She is a strong lady. No epidural was taken, because back then, my parents could not afford it.

The pain of giving birth to me *tearing a bit here*

Dear Mama,

Hopefully one day, I will be able to present you & Papa with a (few) beautiful grandchild, in shaa Allah, and be able to mould him or her the same way you moulded Abang and I to be the way we are today. When that happens, I am pretty sure they will be running to you coz you and Papa will be the super cool grandparents whom they will always love. They might love you guys more than their own parents. If they are stubborn and being as difficult as I was, that only mean one thing, they are definitely your grandkids. But do guide us along the way, ok?

For now, enjoy the gift. I have always wanted to be able to provide you with the best, as much as I possibly could. In shaa Allah, may Allah provide you and Papa with the best in this lifetime, till Jannah.
