Syawal is definitely a great month after a month of fasting.
It is that time of the year where we look for any excuse to go visiting, meeting up with close and distant family members, friends, neighbours and many more. It gives us a reason to cook up a storm, invite others over, most importantly, a reason to seek forgiveness if we have not done so.
This year's Syawal fell on a Friday, we had the extra weekend to do more visiting, accepting open house invitations and a reason to stay a bit longer than usual at some places since well, we have not been catching up for a while and we are not working the next day.
I have been busy with work since the long break ended.
Hence, my postings have not been as updated as I would like it to be. There are days where I am at work for almost 12 hours and continuing with work at home. I love my job even though I do not talk much about it. I love what I do and coming home to dinner and chatting while enjoying our TV time with my parents are probably the best blessing on a daily basis to me.
Thanx to Eid, I appreciate this once a year affair where I bumped into long time no see people who share the same bloodline with me as well as long-lost friends who used to spend time with before responsibilities come into play in our lives.
It is another long weekend here in Singapore. There's quite a bit of work that I will need to catch up with here as well as heading out to tag along with my parents to visit both sides of the endless family tree.
But first, it's time for that signature the tarik of mine and clearing that laundry. Oh and perhaps a visit down to the nursery for a new bunch of flowers.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend ahead.
