I am not an exemplary employee. I have trouble waking up early almost every weekday mornings when I have work. I will stretch and drag myself to the washroom where I will sit and stare at the bathroom walls and talk myself to shower and head to work. It is a crazy vicious cycle every morning I tell you. It is worse if I did not get enough sleep. I will be cranky and mood less all day long.
When my friends introduced me to Young Living essential oils, I was always looking into oils that can help me overcome my huge procrastination and move me forward to help me get my to-do list checked as much as possible. Recently, a friend of mine from Naqi Essentials passed an article about how a member of Young Living used a few different oils on her kids to get them up to head to school every morning. I then started looked into various articles from Young Living, personal experiences and different blog entries. I read which essential oils worked for different people. Seems that different oils worked differently on different individuals.
So, for the past 2 to 3 weeks, I have been trying out a few blends on myself from Young Living every morning. After the self-talks in the bathroom, the shower and my morning prayers, I will put a drop of FUN on my chest and rubbed it all over. Then a drop at the bottom of each foot, massaging a little more at the bottom of my big toe. This is where I will mentally tell myself that it will be a great day and I will enjoy my day ahead, looking at the positive side of my day.
After that, I put a drop of MOTIVATION blend from Young Living at the back of my neck and I will also rub it into my brain stem. I love the smell of these two oils on myself and I somehow feel happy as I head out to work, checking my emails and reading the whatsapp work messages to keep myself updated of what to expect.
I realised that I have been looking forward to get things done at work. I am always looking at my to-do list and striking off more and more things each time I get things done. I just feel a greater sense of satisfaction. Plus the fact that I promised myself that this year, I will ensure that I put in more effort for my personal life, I was making conscious effort to make time and meet my friends whenever possible.
These two essential oils are not available in the YL Singapore website, I hope they will bring them in as I think I might be getting more of these two soon.
Kindly note that this is not a sponsored post and I am sharing my experience of how these oils work for me.
