Styling The Kaley

Let's face it, the general people among us daily are average ladies-next-door who has tonnes of things needed to be done daily; making sure we get whatever we need done by the deadline given (or else we are dead), running errands, meetings and tonnes more. How often do we have the time or the luxury to constantly keep getting new clothes to wear? Looking at the gloomy economy, the price hike in things, not to mention the pile of clothes that we need to keep washing every now and then.

'I have nothing to wear' seems to my favourite line pretty much ALL the time. Be it to work, to meet my girlfriends, to events and functions, et cetera. I bet it is also a common line many of us girls used as well, and yet we have this bunch of clothes hanging right before our eyes, just staring right back at us in our closet. They are probably screaming 'Pick me, Mimi. Please pick me!'

So I am going to dedicate this post (and probably future posts) on the possible ways to style just one top. In this entry,  I chose the Kaley V-neck Peplum Sleeved Blouse in White from FV Basics. I find that this top is a versatile piece, fit for different events and occasions. I also like how simple tops such as the Kaley could easily be styled without the need to put too much effort to make us look good, simply because the top itself already looks good.

On a Date/ Casual Meet-Up

Each time we head out on a date, regardless to meet that guy who has melted the heart or the significant other or even to date the bffs, it tends to be in our genes to want to dress up and look good. I personally find that printed wide pants or culottes, when paired together with this Kaley top, would certainly complement any lady. Fix this outfit out with a pair of heels and I am sure it would turn heads when she enters any dining place or cafes.

An All-Whiter

I personally am a fan of an all-white outfit. It brightens up my day (most of the time at least). It also makes me look a little bigger than my actual size since I am tiny (maybe petite/ extra-small or on some days I can be small size). Aside from that, I always think that when I cannot think of a possible way to make some colours work for me, or if I am pressed for time, I usually settle for an all-whiter look, it usually works. I work on choosing from my scarves collection to add colours to my outfit.

Work, Work, Work

In this day and age, quite a number of us ladies are working adults. Yes, we all have bills to pay, roof over our head to worry about and food on the table to feed the family. Some of us are blessed to be able to wear whatever decent clothes we wish to clothe ourselves in and not be restricted by colours, designs and everything else.

Both outfits posted above could be worn to work as well.

Need I say more? I think a white top is a must have in every lady's closet. It is suitable for pretty much every occasion and need whenever we run out of ideas on what to wear.

I am guessing for the rest of the year, it will be more clothes (and scarves) on repeat mode. I just have to be creative and see how they go with mix and match of whatever is available. Can this work? I sure hope so.
